Capping the 499th anniversary of the Victory at Mactan is a cultural show marking the county’s one-year countdown to 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines. This is also the official launch of the National Day of Volunteerism whose aim is to gather as many commitments as possible (e.g., cleanup drives, Brigada Eskwela campaigns, medical-dental-optical services, tree planting, job fairs, diskwento caravans, other socio-civic initiatives) before the D-Day on 27 April 2021 (i.e., 500th anniversary of the Victory at Mactan).
