Philippine Embassy in Lisbon, together with the Filipino community, introduced to Portuguese the sinulog tradition of Cebu City. The tradition is associated with the devotion of the Filipinos to the Santo Niño, the image of which was presented to the ancestors of the Filipinos by the Portuguese-born Ferdinand Magellan in 1521.
