First Around the Globe: The Story of Enrique is a storybook reading activity featuring the book published by Tahanan Books. It is the story of Enrique, a young slave who traveled around the world with his master, Ferdinand Magellan, during the first quarter of the sixteenth century. The livestream aims to provide young children a means to join the commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Battle of Mactan and the circumnavigation of the globe. The livestream will include ASL interpretation and is produced in partnership with Chinatown Museum, Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art, Museo Pambata, and Tahanan Books.
